was part of a unofficial seminar, at a local highly-ranked university ( a professor offered to teach us biochemistry for a few months, again more of a discussion class).
peer tutoring
Recs:
My chem teacher really likes me, I have another science teacher who likes me, a history teacher who likes me, and a math teacher who pretty much likes me

Passion: I am super interested in chemistry
Programs i'm thinking of applying to:
I'm thinking of applying for Cosmos( UC irvine ) but I wanted to know if their chemistry program is good ( I mean harder/ more advanced than AP chem)

Maybe SSP( should I apply)

YSP(Not sure if I'd get in).
Clark scholars ( this one i'm pretty sure I won't get in, but it would be my top choice).
I really want to do some research in chemistry, so I'm trying to find the best program for that
I just want to know which program ( even if I haven't listed it) it is realistic I would get into but I also want a challenging and preferably a research-based program

Any help would really be appreciated, sorry for making this so long and convoluted.

I’m applying for Cosmos this year as well, and therefore have been doing a LOT of research. The thing I’ve read most about Cosmos is that it mainly introduces aspects not normally talked about in high school. So chances are, you’ll be studying things you haven’t had the chance to really go over in Chem.
On the flip side, from everything I’ve read and talked to people about, Cosmos is a great program. Challenging? Not so sure. But it’s competitive!!
Wishing you luck
Fingers crossed for regenerative medicine at ucsd :D

thanks a lot for the help, I think I’ll probably apply to the COSMOS in Irvine or Davis. Hope you get into UCSD COSMOS
