Summer programs for theatre design/tech?

<p>Hi, I'm a Sophomore in high school now hoping to major in costume design. I want to do a summer program the summer between Junior and Senior year so I know I should start looking now so I'll be ready to apply. I know there's Carnegie Melon, Emerson... any others? Thank you!</p>

<p>And I do have one other quick question: how many schools is a good number to apply to if you're going the technical theatre route? (I know that performers should consider a pretty long list- but I assume it would be different for a design major/tech major?) </p>

<p>Interlochen Arts Camp has a 6-week Tech track for high school students. Their costume shop is fantastic, and the summer faculty is the same faculty that teaches at the Academy during the school year.</p>

<p>You may want to check out UNCSA. They have a fantastic design program and I believe it is offered as a summer component. </p>
