Summer programs, Harvard likes to see

***Background: I'm a Freshman in a public high-school(that had recent graduates that got accepted) and Im thinking about majoring in Chemistry OR Biology when I Graduate.

~ I have all honors (basic 4subjects- and honor chem and Honor Spanish II)

~ I have orchestra

~ I had a 94.5 quarter average for last quarter(1st quarter) and 96.67 for Second.

~ I do seven clubs: Science Olympiad, Key club, Math Team, Thespians, and Chemistry Club(co-founded and co-president), NAACP, and Enhanced Tutoring(tutoring the younger students of the middle school before our high school)

~ And I'm planning on Doing Tennis in the spring.***

I live in New York and need good summer programs not to far that colleges would like to see.(But not to much; aren't that finically stable)

~ I plan to try to apply to Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia. Want to show them, I did something productive over the summer to impress them a little. (I want to go to an Ivy league).

The point of doing a summer program is not to impress an Ivy League adcom.

Find something that you will enjoy. It’s better than getting into a prestigious program in which you don’t have fun.

The best one, though, to answer your question, is RSI, but you should have started looking at that and other programs last November/December. Many good programs’ application windows are closed now.

Go try an internship or volunteer work.
