<p>So, it just seems like every worthy program is in the months of June and July. Which is problematic for me since I'm participating in a German exchange program from June 24- July 22. </p>
<p>Is there any summer program I can look forward to doing which would be before June 23rd? or after July 22?</p>
<p>My interests are: Science (research), Writing, Volunteer work, Journalism, and Reading.</p>
<p>I'm also kind of stingy about money, so it would have to be kind of inexpensive. :P</p>

<p>Since you’re into science, I recommend just looking around your local area for research opportunities. Go to your state university or local college to see if you can get a research opportunity. Or you can search “high school science research summer programs” on your best friend, Google.</p>
<p>there’s a great journalism program called J Camp that takes place every year near the end of july/beginning of august. it’s a competitive application process, but it’s all expenses paid and you get to meet tons of famous journalists in the industry. you should definitely check it out! (there’s a J Camp thread here on college confidential)</p>
