<p>~10%. Last year they had 742 applicants for 72 spots. Don’t know how many they actually accept though because some choose not to go. They only admitted one sophomore though.</p>

<p>I want to be accepted in this program more than anything else ahhhhhhh. My physics teacher worked for NASA for a while back and he went to the telescopes in NM and CA before, and he told us all about it, which made my desire to go even bigger.</p>

Yeah I’m sure the conditions in NM and CA will be brilliant. I hate light pollution
And I heard from the alumni that they could see the milky way just from their dorm roofs! Hope that’ll still be true this year</p>

Yeah, with many actually!
I’m from China and after I got admitted last month, I was added to a QQ(an online chatting device)group containing all past Chinese SSPers. Most are in college now but they’re still much reminiscent of their 39 days during one bygone summer
And actually when you get admitted, SSP will send you a handbook containing emails of volunteered 2013ers. There’s many from all over the world and many different states as well

<p>Does anyone have an idea of when the domestic decisions will be released? I know last year it was April 10.</p>
<p>I imagine it will be the same this year. At least, that’s what past years seem to indicate!</p>
<p>Since last year’s release was Wed April 10th, I bet the release is tomorrow.</p>
<p>In case anyone is interested in something more specific, our e-mails came out an around 2:00 in the afternoon (EDT), if I remember correctly.</p>
<p>Mine came in at 3:40pm last year. I’ve been freaking out about this year’s so much.</p>

<p>That happened with the USAPhO semifinalists list. It was supposed to come out the thursday 2 weeks before april. Instead it came out exactly one week later because of delays and stuff— I kept checking the site over and over again every day, it was horrible. </p>

The website actually says that it comes out 5-6 weeks after the application deadline, 6 weeks total being Friday, April 11th. However, we cannot be sure. We’ll know soon enough.</p>
<p>Do we receive email first or see the decision on the web first ? </p>
