Summer Science Program (SSP) 2014

@emywemy610‌ That’s exactly how I feel.

Any luck, anyone?

Not out yet…

@EdwinTubble‌ When did you send your app? Do the results come out in the order the apps was sent?

^^ That doesn’t make sense. They would have to track the date and time each application came in and then constantly update a spreadsheet for 750 -800 applications - all so they could release the decisions in the same order? What would they gain by doing this?

I’m still waiting, too…

I hope late news isn’t bad news… still haven’t gotten any information either. Has anyone else received anything?

no im still waiting too…

Is there usually an order? Like them sending out admissions first and rejections later or something, or is it just some random order?

Me neither; as most of us haven’t heard from SSP yet, it isn’t necessarily ‘late news’…

I think that @EdwinTubble may be a ■■■■■. His denial email seems to be poorly written and the choice of words for such a letter does not ring true to me…but then again, maybe scientists aren’t well known for their writing skills? LOL

Good luck to all of you waiting for your decisions today. I’m sure that many wonderful candidates have to be turned away due to limited space. You will all have great university options whether you are accepted or not. I know that it is hard to wait. To those of you who will be accepted…congratulations! To those who do not the news that they wanted…hang in there!

Just looking at the rejection that @EdwinTubble‌ got today - surprised that SSP spelled “received” incorrectly. Anyway, sorry for you @EdwinTubble‌ and good luck to all. Still waiting in our house.

well, the word “received” was also misspelled in the picture…

Any word yet??

we might not get it today; the only “admissions notification” was fake

Still. nothing changed. what if it’s tmr?

No word here yet. Also, if anyone wants this for reference, here’s my rejection email from last year:

it’s most likely tomorrow since it was april 10th last year. anyone know what time admissions were out last year?

around 4pm ET

oh then theres a chance for today! looks at time AAAAAAH ANY MINUTE?!
