toowonderful…check on the Amsterdam program. Unless something has changed recently, it was always a summer program connected to ETW studio (you don’t have to be in ETW studio to do the summer program in Amsterdam). My daughter had a lot of friends who did it and said it was AMAZING! It was expensive and not an option for my kid. Instead, she did ETW for her final three semesters. As alwaysamom says, the Amsterdam summer program requires an audition.

Does anyone know anything about Maine State Musical Theatre’s Summer Internship?
I don’t think I could add more information than the website provides about the internship, but I have had season tickets to the MSMT for over 25 years and the shows are top notch. Usually there is an all intern production, and the interns are also cast in the main productions too. The interns are from programs all over the country. Many professional actors have performed on Broadway and other notable venues. I live in Brunswick, a wonderful college town. The theatre is on the Bowdoin College campus.
I also think they offer equity points, not sure about the interns, but I swear I read that on SETC’s list of theatres.
I’m pretty sure the website mentions equity points.

I don’t think they were all actually there, even if they signed up. It’s the last of the big combined auditions. Some of them probably had what they needed.
Probably the only somewhat accurate list would be in the pages of the “producer book” handed to the auditionees.
I’m working there this summer. It’s a place to get some professional credits. Not great, not bad.

So… a new year for Summer Stock theater… Has anyone heard back from MTWA, yet? And I was a little disspointed that MUNY is not accepting any Non Equity open singer calls this year… does anyone know why?
