Summer

So, upcoming seniors, what are the summer plans? Visiting colleges, writing admin. essays, jobs, internships, camps, TASP.....

what is TASP? I'm not doing much in the way of work or camp....just searching for colleges really...I know that's not the best way to spend a summer. What are your plans?

Visiting colleges. I've only visited UCSD so far, though. I hope to take a campus tour of some of the other UC schools and privates like Pepperdine, Stanford, Loyola Marymount, etc.

Summer's halfway over. I'm pretty sure there have been several threads like this in the past few weeks. Regardless...

Its too expensive to visit schools since they're far away, so that's not on my summer agenda. As far as school-related things are concerned I'm working on apps/essays and taking Physics and AP Calc online. I told myself that I would study for SAT IIs, but that probably won't happen. Otherwise, I'm just enjoying my free time and being lazy, doing absolutely nothing...because I can.

Essays :(
That's basically it.

I'm starting my essays, especially for EA schools. I'm also working about 35 hours a week. Then, in the rest of the time, I'm on my computer or watching the news, or both.

Visiting colleges (Midd, Am'erst, Williams, Dartmouth), writing a novel, getting started on common app, hanging out, recharging for senior year.

Not an upcoming senior, but anyhow, it's sleeping for me.

Visit MIT and Harvard. I never knew they were so close to each other.

Haha, as all my efforts toward TASP ended with a rejection letter, this summer is just reading, volunteering at the hospital, concerts, and hanging out with friends :) and preparing for SATs and SAT IIs, if I ever remember to pick up a copy of Gruber's while I'm at Borders.

Hanging out with friends. Vacations. Having fun :)

I visited Missouri State University....lol. They're offering me free tuition because of IB. My mom really wants me to go there, but I'm terrified of staying here in the midwest for college. I need to branch out and go elsewhere :)

what's TASP btw? I'm relaxing and enjoying one last summer as a high school student.
tstarr31113: what are your plans?

TASP= Telluride Association Summer Program

Anyway, for me it's been working at the research lab twice a week, reading, relaxing, attempting to work on my essays but not suceeding, and in a couple weeks going to california for an internship!
