Sunday at the Square

nutrasweet and morningtheft, what are your general stats?

This whole waiting process is horrible.

1450 sat. 780 wr/750 lit/680 math 1. gpa is probably something close to a 4.0. and i'm graduating hs a year early - i dont know if thats good or bad in terms of admissions.

Nice. Hope I get into USC as well. The whole college application process has been hell so far. The other day I had this pleasant conversation:

"Hey Cody, have you heard from USC yet?"

"No..."

"Oh. Cause I got in and (kid who's name I don't know) got in. So long!"

grumble

1440 SAT1, three SAT II's above 700, 4.2 weighted gpa etc

I live close to NYC so I might be one of the first to get the mail, we'll have to see tomorrow if more people get "reception" invitations

I called NYU - they said that admissions decisions have already been made so attendance will not affect decisions, but we were the ones that really stuck out to the readers, and we should be expecting good news come april.

It seems like the CAS reception invites go to the people who were just on the cusp of getting Sunday @ the Square invites. I hope that holds out hope for me for simple admission (1320/750, 690, 660/3.7UW, 4.0W, top 8%, lots of ECs with leadership)

WC13, I was refering to the postal system. I don't actually think UA sucks, though it's not my first choice.

awww rani! we stuck out!! that makes me so happy, cuz it won't happen for any other college. aw man, this makes me like nyu. lol

I GOT AN INVITE for CAS,WOOOOO, SO F&(*# Happy

Now I have options, and am not forced to go to state school (UF)

Stats for those interested:
South Florida
White Male
SAT: 800 v,710 m, 680/690/700
Rank: 15/540, GPA uw: 3.93, w-4.5

Still waiting on Harvard, Yale, Penn, Cornell, and Northwestern. Was rejected Columbia ED, but right now, im just happy.

congrats!!

"just to let you know that those living out of the US don't get one, (guess they think it's too far to travel, which it is.)"

No, actually, I'm in the Czech Republic and I got an invitation for Sunday at the Square. But I'm an exchange student here, so I didn't have to apply as an international student, so maybe that's why.

BofP, Thanks for the explanation. Just to clarify for everyone the way (I believe) the postal system works (correct me if I'm wrong). It's more of a population/distribution process than distance. You'll notice that some folks in CA got their invites before folks in, say, AL...more than twice the distance...

Mail gets to the larger distribution centers faster because the USPS can deal with larger volumes of mail faster if it is all going to one location. I hope I am making sense.

Way off topic, I know....I'll stop now.

:-)

for someone who was asking earlier, I got an invitation to sunday at the square and I applied to Steinhardt. Does anyone know how long it lasts, because I'm trying to figure out what flight to take to go home.

i would suggest you go home after dinner. like, stay in NY for dinner and then go home. it won't take longer than that, and u g2 have some NY food!

lol, yeah, I think that's what we're going to do. thanks

hey dude55,
i applied to Steinhardt. i got the Sunday on the Square letter on Saturday. i didn't even know they existed, but i am psyched, and going to attend.

OK, I'm a REMU applicant from San Antonio, TX. I just got a SATURDAY at the Square invite...

My stats are:
1390 SAT
3.9 GPA at a pretty tough prep school
LOTS of recording ECs.

Therefore... Alabama sucks. :)

I didn't know about the population density thing before. You learn something new everyday.

Steinhardt, Music Business
