SUNY at Binghamton Class of 2025 Decisions

I hope so. I had high stats ( An A GPA, nearly a 1400) along with good ECs, Essay, and LoR. I hope that we don’t have to wait until mid-to-late March.

Which major are you

I think on a rolling basis. I am a member of the “college bound” Facebook group, and someone who applied early action just got in…I thought that was relatively good news.
One thing I am a little upset about, my son has been writing to the admissions counselor for our area, he wrote one a while back expressing his interest and then again after he was deferred (and shared some amazing grades etc.,) and we’ve received no response at all. It’s the only school that doesn’t respond. A few years back when my older kid went to Bing, she had a nice email relationship with the counselor after she was deferred, she ultimately got in. I know they’re super busy this year- but even the Cornell admissions counselor wrote back a quick one liner. Anyone else having this experience (we are in Long Island)?

Omg yes. The Long Island person never answers. I had to email the reg admissions person.

Yes same, on LI and my daughter had reached out last year when we were going to do a tour and she responded and then during the application process she didn’t respond. We ended up forwarding the email to the general admissions one and said something we thought maybe the person was off as we hadn’t gotten a response. We got a reply and an apology from the LI rep the same day, it “got lost” in her email she said.

Thank you for responding!! So our concern that she may not have read or done anything with the information my son shared is real, ugh -would you mind letting me know where you sent it? We are particularly concerned because my son is sharing information and expressing his (true!) interest in bing! Was hoping that she was just too busy to respond, but if she’s not looking at it or forwarding it or doing anything with it that’s a pretty big concern…

Thank you, so I guess we should forward the most recent email to the general admissions person, it’s pretty important that it be seen by someone…I hate to go over someone’s head and if I knew that she put it in his file and it made it to the right people I would leave it alone but I’m concerned it’s not reaching anyone.

Forward it and just say since you didn’t hear back you wanted to make sure. Good Luck

Thank you, I think so too. She must really be underwater, and it feels like he is tattling but we really do need to make sure his note was received. He wrote it several weeks ago, so maybe he will forward it and add his most current grades as an update…

Daughter was accepted RD
1470/33
UW 3.8
7 AP’s
Lots of UC’s
2 sport varsity captain

What day was she accepted

Maybe a couple of days ago? I don’t even know what day it is anymore!:joy::sob:

That sounds like a good plan. Maybe he can ask her to let him know she received it so he will then at least know she has it.

If you’ve already been admitted, you can sign up for an information session through the portal!

Has anyone that was deferred received a new decision yet.

Thank you, he ended up writing to the admissions counselor and asked if she would please let him know if she received it, she was apologetic and got back to him. He did not have to go over her head  That’s the good news, and the not so good news is that she said that he can only be considered for the school to which he applied, which in his case is SOM unless he wants to switch to Harpur. He’s not sure what to do…SOM is so competitive. He has a much better chance at Harpur. Sigh.

So happy she responded! Can he switch to Harpur and then change majors after the 1st semester?

It’s not so easy to switch over…

Oh sorry. :disappointed_relieved:

OOS , Watson CS accepted on Jan-27 , surprised with nice merit Dean’s scholarship today at 9pm email 6500/year was not expecting at all !!
