I'm from New York, but with my financial aid and scholarships Vermont's tuition comes down to 36,000 a year. Both colleges have their pros and cons; help a brotha out
Thanks for any input

I wouldn’t say Vermont is significantly better than Bing. I have numerous freinds at Binghamton and they all seem it like it there. If its cheaper I say go to Binghamton.

I think Binghamton is better- it’s the SUNY flagship

For whatever reason Vermont ranks higher on US News.

Binghamton is under ranked on USNews, it’s well respected in NY. Outside of NY, it’s probably a wash but since Binghamton is cheaper seems like an easy decision.

I’m kinda under the impression I’ll be bored to death in Binghamton tho…

I’d rather be bored than have more debt

Bing is the better school.
VT isn’t worth the extra money.
Are the kind who sits at home, groaning “I’m bored, enterain me”? if not, you’ll be fine at Bing If you are afraid to be bored to death in Bing, create clubs or make your own fun. Only people with zero brain activity are bored on a college campus.

My daughter is seriously considering UVM over Binghamton and Geneseo. We loved the accepted Student’s day at UVM and there is so much to do. If money is not an issue I would choose UVM. Do you ski?
