<p>I am currently a female African American nyc high school senior and I am wondering if I can get into Suny Buffalo or Albany?
Stats:
SAT: 1600 ( waiting for October results)
GPA: 85
Few EC
1 AP
2 College courses
Everything else honors</p>
<p>You should be able to get into Albany for something like liberal arts at least. I have no idea for Buffalo though. Sorry :(</p>
<p>yes, both are matches due to course rigor (and assuming your B average is unweighted) but getting to 1750 would really help seal that deal.
Are you applying through EOP though (if so, you’re definitely in).
As a safety, you should apply to a few more schools. Depending on what you’re looking for, there are tons of schools in NYS, from Siena to Keuka to SUNY Dehli.</p>
<p>Thanks for responding, sadly I don’t qualify for EOP, I’m going to Early decision just to see if that helps. I’ve been looking at other safety schools , my October SAT only went up to 1620, so I don’t think I have a lot of options</p>
