SUNY Stony Brook

A friend of mine is ****ing his pants because he doesnt think he has a shot of being accepted into stony brook (one of best SUNY schools) i keep reassuring him that he does but well he's a pansy. If somebody could tell me if his stats are good enough.

GPA: 89~90
ACT: 28
He's black or african american for you polt. correct doofs.
I dont think he has many EC's other than orchestra

Just based on that does he have a shot?

I think he has a good shoot. The average for accepted kids at my school is an 88, although it's a good school. No one really takes the ACT, but from what I know, a 28 CERTAINLY puts him in the running for Stony. They don't really care about ECs. Not sure if AA will help, and I don't think your friend really needs help anyway, but good luck to him.

Last time I checked, ACT range for Stony Brook was 23-27. 28 ACT and an A- average puts you at a good 75% chance of getting in, don't sweat!

he should be fine. im really not sure about AA with Stony Brook even though I applied, everyone i know that applied there was either white or asian so i dont have experience with that. anyway..

Stony Brook- safe match
