How are the various academies "celebrating" Super Bowl Sunday, which has become a de facto "national holiday?"

The USCGA is having two parties, one at the O-club for the firsties and one at Leamy Hall for the underclassmen. Leamy has a huge screen where the kids can root on their favorite team. Lots of refreshments to be served at both venues.

I will be rooting for the Seahawks myself as a NFC fan. My Giants unfortunately did a major "no-show" in their home playoff game against the Panthers.

Big screen will be set up in Delano Hall. Assuming there will be football food as well.

Probably have to go with the Seahawks as well, but I may be too busy to notice or care who's winning when the trays of boiled pea-nuts and beer come into play.

Boiled peanuts? Very southern. No canned for "real" southern folk. Boiled raw green p-nuts done in water with bunches of salt & cooked for hours. Sometimes they use a cajun seasoning. You'll either love 'em or hate 'em. They kinda remind me of a canned green bean with texture & taste. Oh, and to pronounce it correctly, ya gotta say "bowled p-nuts". LOL

Told the boy about the Deli in that little town. He promised to check it out so thanks for the hint. He went goo goo for the chocolates so I'm sure he'll heed any of your further instruction!

Well, I think we should post our call of the game: Pittsburgh in overtime 23-20 (I think we've never had an overtime Superbowl before -- Steeler's won't beat the spread so take Seattle plus the 4 points). You heard it here first!
