Although it will be a fun time this weekend with the Super Bowl, wanted to give y'all a heads up that hotels are full, everyone wants to be here to party with the WHO DATS!

Also, many schools around the city are closed on Monday, so check with Tulane if you were planning on sitting in on classes.

And best of all, there will be a parade on Tuesday afternoon for the Saints in the CBD, win or lose.

So, if you've already got a hotel room, got a flight, please, come on down, spend your money, we need you!

But if you think you're going to just show up and get a room, good luck!

And before you leave, make sure you pick up a WHO DAT t-shirt!

Hope you have a great time while you’re here. There will still be lots of Super Bowl fever going on. We’ll still be celebrating when next year’s Super Bowl comes around!

Montegut, I was actually born and raised in New Orleans. Have been gone since 1985, but will always consider myself a New Orleanian. Still come home 2-3 times a year and always at MG. My NC friends used to think that I was crazy for taking my children to Mardi Gras until I explained the whole thing to them. This season has been the sweetest season ever for Saints fans. Still have to pinch myself to believe that it is real. But I Believe!! Can’t wait to see Drew Brees in Bacchus. Now THAT is going to be crazy! Who Dat!!!

Last night on the local radio they were talking about how scaled back things were in Miami. That how a lot of people were showing up at the end of Super Bowl Week rather than at the beginning. Blaming the economy. Considering the increased expenses of hosting a Super Bowl, New Orleans may come out better financially than Miami!
WHO DAT!!!

They are saying that many fans with tickets in the NE (eg DC area, PA, and wherever else the blizzard is) may not get their flights out today due to the storm. They have to be a little peeved.

Last year we happened to be in the Tampa area during the first part of superbowl weekend. We went to the flag football game on the beach, and ended up doing an accidental “tango” with Sidney Rice (of the Minnesota Vikings) who caught a pass and his forward momentum sent him into the crowd. I was taking a picture, realized I had his shorts in my viewfinder (great pic, btw) and ended up arm in arm with him! We then bought a bunch of superbowl paraphernalia and headed home early Sunday, in time to go to our annual neighborhood superbowl party, armed with stuff from that days game!

WAHOO!!!
GEAUX SAINTS!!! I texted my s, after the interception, with the question “partying yet?” He immediately texted back “Mom. This is college. I just sit in my room, studying.” LOL!!! What a great game, and great day for NOLA!

That’s funny…my son said the same thing! He said some kids went to the Quarter to party. Although he had the TV on in the background, the dorm was kind of quiet…
So glad that the Saints won!

S went to NOLA (graduated 5/2009) to stay with friends and watch the game there.

He texted me after that it was “surreal. Crazier than I would have guessed. I’ve never seen NOLA so alive”. Now that’s saying something!

As a Katrina kid himself, it was so wonderful for him to soak in the joy along with all the Saints fans, after what the city has suffered. Simply magnificent. What a game. What a team. What a city.
