I have to answer quite a few short answer questions for the universities that I'm applying to, many of with are in the range of 150-250 words. Should I get those read by teachers/counselors, as I'm going to do with my main essays? I have so many that I don't want to give them all to the same teacher. Would it be a good idea to get them read and reviewed? Or would it be alright if I simply proofread them myself, or had a few friends read them and give me their opinions?

As far as I know, getting the opinions of different people is always a good idea in terms of proofreading. However, depending on a case-by-case basis, you may or may not want to get them read by a teacher, as they’ll have enough to do with the other recommendation letters and reading they’ll have to take care of.

But would it be better to get them read by a teacher? Maybe not the same one for all essays, but a few to different teachers?

It depends on how comfortable you are with your writing skills. Perhaps your responses will need polishing; perhaps they won’t.
