<p>Another college I applied to asked for an optional rec from some one who knows you, so I asked my friend’s father to write one for me. I just saw the letter this weekend, and I thought it was really good and makes me sound like I have great potential and everything. So my question is, should I send this to Brown? Will it make a difference? It’s January 10 so would that make a difference?</p>
<p>Absolutely send it in!! It's ok if it's a little late. It's optional, and besides, most colleges are still sorting out the applications and have not begun to read them.</p>
