Son accepted Middlebury ED1 as a Feb. He’s been looking at Middlebury since 8th grade (!) so it really was his dream school. UW4.0, Full IB, 1490 SAT. He opted-in to be a Middlebury ‘Feb’, and his application screamed ‘Febby’ qualities that Middlebury looks for in their Feb admits, thus I think that was the hook that got him accepted. Also from an underrepresented state and public school.
D23 rejected to ED1 (Duke). Accepted EA to Colorado College and Vermont. Waiting on 5 more EA decisions to come at the end of the month. Submitted ACT (34) to all schools.
Son was accepted to Caltech via REA process, he is a soccer athlete and did a pre-read in summer. Caltech did not have a place to submit the scores and everywhere on the web site they kept telling not to submit the SAT/ACT test scores. My child had 1580 super score.
Congrats! When did you hear from Reed EA?
12/16 or 12/17.
Applied ED to Lehigh and didn’t submit test scores as advised by his counselor. He was accepted and he is thrilled. He got into every school he’s applied to so far including another reach school where many students have been rejected or deferred (FSU). Still is 100% all in for Lehigh and his decision to apply ED - signed contract yesterday!
My son also applied ED to Lehigh and was accepted! He had 33 ACT score and we submitted. No merit awarded but was awarded a nice financed aid package. My ‘21 son is a sophomore at Lehigh and my husband is ‘92 grad of Lehigh, he is living the dream:rofl:
My daughter was accepted to Boston University ED for computer science and thrilled. She got into 2 safeties while we were waiting for BU. It’s a good thing she got in because she had 4 more applications to get out with quick turnaround. Hope it works out for everyone.
That’s great to hear! We will be totally new to the school and have heard so many good things. Go Mountain Hawks!
Son accepted ED Northwestern. Lots of legacy. Submitted 35 ACT score. Had a few Bs freshman year. Lots of service activity, music, and sports.
