Suspension! Help!

Okay so I might be completely overreacting but I need advice. So my school has this tardy policy where if you're late, you get a lunch detention. I'm always late to 1st period (thanks mom) and I usually go to lunch detention but during november/december I was volunteering in the library alot during lunch, so I had to skip some lunch detentions. In total, I had 6 I skipped (there was only like one where I was genuinely skipping without an excuse). the administrators started giving ISS to students that skipped. on the day, I started making up my lunch detentions, they called me into their office and Give me ISS(in school suspension)! I tried to explain that I started making my lunch detentions up that day but she didn't care and I asked for Saturday school as an alternative but she said I'd have multiple if I did Saturday school, so I just accepted the ISS. I go back to class then come back literally 10 minutes later and ask for the multiple Saturday schools instead and Shes like "It's too late. I already put it in". How badly with this suspension affect me when I start applying to colleges?? Ugh I can't believe this is happening to me, of all people. I am absolutely not the type of person to get suspended. Will I get kicked out my clubs!? I'm freaking out!

You will not get kicked out of clubs. To be honest colleges do not even look at your disciplinary record unless it is for a scholarship or maybe some privates. Highly doubt the private schools look. Teacher and uneducated adults tell this to students because they do not know or they are trying to scare you. You do need to shape up and get to school on time. Getting to school is your responsibility. College professors do not tolerate late students. I have even seen my professors kick students out for being late. I would not worry colleges care more about SATs and GPAs than they do a suspension.

I don’t think one suspension will destroy you. I don’t know about clubs at your school, but at my school clubs are completely optional meaning you don’t have to go to them if you don’t want. Knowing this, if a kid got suspended, club advisers don’t care. Except for NHS. I never had a suspension, but it can be a little scary, but it won’t effect you in any way club wise.

It’s just in-school suspension, that is nothing like an actual school suspension. Don’t worry, I got ISS for just a small hole in my jeans and I doubt colleges will care.

small hole in your jean???

But seriously, any punishment would be bad for you not for colleges lol. But they do look at attendance records. My school doesn’t even give out ISS anymore.
