we have a governor’s school, but I don’t attend it because it’s for math and science…

I am sitting with my university of Michigan blanket at the moment. :)

I would want to put this on my app too!

I was going to attend the international studies governors school, but it got cancelled right before the summer because of the economy :(

we have summer and year round gov schools…

Wish I lived in VA…

hahahaha…I love VA…I wish that I lived in somewhat of a bigger city, and closer to DC, but I love my little country town.

haha has any of your family gone there? my dads an alum, and i live in ann arbor so i know u of m a little too well. haha its almost to the point where ive gotten sick of it, because it’s literally everywhere. but if i dont get into swat or bowdoin, i think i might choose to go there…(that is, if i get in)

after reading some of these posts, I realize that my state, New Hampshire, has a terrible education system. governor’s schools in NH would never happen. we finance a great portion of our schools through…bet you could guess it…the state lottery

no…I know someone that goes to law school there.

its funny how we could be thousands of miles away from one another and because we’re all freaking about the same thing, feel so close haha

anyone from new jersey/philly area?

hahaha…yea…

did any of you guys attend girls or boys state?

I live right on the border or PA and NJ, about an hour and a half north of Philly.

niiice i live like 5 minutes from philly, 3ish from camden,
and… 30 minutes from swat? wait what? hah

30 minutes from Swat? really…I live 6 hours away. i am jealous. haha

Oh wow so you’re reallyyyyy close!

i have all of a sudden gotten really, really nervous.

Its such a roller coaster of emotions! Since I started posting on here I haven’t been too nervous in comparison to last week. I feel more excited than anything else; I just have trouble sleeping now haha

hah i know! i’ve been making up every excuse to visit. The funny thing is i hadnt really heard about it until this summer when my dad was like ehh we should go tour or something.
When i got on campus, as corny as it sounds, i was in love hahah
I remember listening to them talk about the study abroad program (which i’m really intersted in) and thinking “why would i want to leave?” hahah

ahhhhh i cant keep thinking about how much i like it
its going to make rejection that much rougher

i am excited, but then there is part of me that is thinking…don’t be expecting to get in, because you don’t want to be upset.

yea, i am having major trouble working on this paper…and i have to get it done because it’s due tomorrow. first thing. although most of my teachers are understanding of the crazy emotions that i’m going through right now. There is only one other kid at my school that is waiting to hear back from a school…so we are being nervous wrecks together…haha

i just had a major image of getting the letter…

“we regret to inform you…”

yiiiiiiiiiiiikes ugh ugh ugh i HATE this

well on that note…this is what my mom just told me…and she says that it applies to all of you guys too…

somewhere out there, there is a letter that has your name on it…and no matter what that letter says, you’re still the same person.
