@swimmingman5 Don’t worry too much about your times! Your passion for the sport should come first.
There is also a site called nepssa.org, where you can review meet results for BS. You can compare your times to them if you would like. I believe all of the meets are in SCY (short course yards), but I will have to double check.
It obviously didn’t help me much. Heck, I was waitlisted at the school where the coach gushed over me and sent pictures just for me. I was pretty confident about that school, and what do I get? A WL. @mexusa
Rejected at both schools, but that’s okay. I’m only a mediocre swimmer (Division II qualifying-type) so I was hoping that passion would have me stand out rather than talent.
@thelittleswimmer: I see you applied to two very difficult schools. Try again next year, adding more schools to the list. My DD is a good swimmer, but not Olympic bound or anything close. Good luck and keep swimming!
oops. I did not apply this year, I am applying next year. I didn’t realize this was for this year. I haven’t decided if I will swim in BS or do Nordic skiing (similar type of work, fascinated by it, and Im not sure Im still as in love with swimming as I used to). I hope people will try again but this time pick more and a wider range of schools if they didn’t get in. Hidden gems! Hidden gems!
@madswimmer132 @mexusa I just noticed that you guys will be swimming for Choate next year! I’m a current swimmer on the team and I would be happy to answer any questions you guys might have
