Hello,

I am fairly new to the Dallas- Fort Worth area. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering plus good number of years of experience in the field. I got a job in Denton, TX; that's why I joined UNT working towards a MS in Engineering Systems & Management. I later switched jobs, and I am now living in Richardson, TX. This is about a 40 min drive from Denton(and from UNT). I've done some research, and it seems like UNT is not regarded as a very good school for Engineering, and for getting an MS degree
I am concerned about working hard towards my MS degree, later to find out it doesn't boost my career, but ends up hurting it instead; not getting me the kind of opportunities I would be looking for. I am working as an Engineering Project Manager in my new job, and earning good experience; so I would be looking to be within the field of Engineering Management.
So far I have taken 4 graduate classes at UNT.

Is it worth for me switching to University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) which is closer to where I now live, and possibly having to start from zero?
