I was recently admitted Early Action to BC Lynch School of Education and am super excited. However, I was wondering how easy it is to switch out of the School of Educ. if I decide teaching is not for me freshman year. If I did switch, it would 100% be to the College of Arts and Sciences, which is apparently the easiest to get into…? How easy/difficult is it to switch from Lynch to A&S? Is it possible to do so before freshman year (when I go to Orientation or accepted Students Day)? Please let me know, Thanks!

In order to transfer schools, you must stay in your original school for your freshman year and apply to transfer at the end of freshman year. A&S is the easiest school to transfer into, and if you keep your grades up, you shouldn’t have too much of an issue (or so I’ve heard). Also, keep in mind that you can double major with your second major being in A&S, if you like the school of education but also want to major in an A&S major.

You shouldn’t have a problem switching, but you’ll probably have to wait until the end of freshman year to transfer (not really a problem because you can just get your core classes out of the way)
