switching colleges

I was admitted into CAS ED. I have always been interested in pure sciences/math, but say I find that I want a more applied view: is it difficult to switch over to engineering?

I called recently about this same thing. I know i wanna double major in college, with both mechanical eng./aerospace eng. & poly sci. I was worried that It would be hard to add a major, but the lady at CAS on the line at Cornell said lots of kids do it each year (But I called Northwestern, and the lady said it was harder to do there). But I'm not sure about completely switching ur major into a different school. I think all you need is to keep decent grades (prbly 3.0 above maybe?) first 2 years, then get some signatures from the dean of each college. Haha, my friend applied to all the UCs as Middle Eastern Studies or Chicano studies. We were all hella laughing...

no but do it as soon as you are sure. engineering has sequences that you are required to take before you can apply to become affliated with a major.

just send an additional resume, and include AP scores on it. I went to one of the Cornell talks at some high school 30 miles away (in san jose, lynnbrook i think, if anyone cares) and the admissions lady there said that they will go through students' additional forms.

loserkev, thats pretty damn cool haha. my friends father applied to harvard for some dead language and then switched to premed. it doesnt work like it used to...

Haha ya...And sad thing bout my friend who applied MiddleEastern/Chicano studies is that for UC Arts and Sciences, you dont apply to major, but to school.....so if he gets in and wants to switch, they might get kinda suspicious....
