Swithcing at the Claremont Colleges

How hard/ common is it to switch from one into another?

I asked this on my CMC and Scripps tour, and I was told that no one ever does this because the schools have such different feels.

Why would one switch when they could take take courses at the other campuses anyway? D just came back from Scripps and said one girl she talked to took Women's Studies at HMC. LOL. And another was taking most of her courses this semester at Pomona.

Ok, here is my idea:
CMC would be my best fit becuase of the major they offer (ie International relations) this was the only of the 5CC I applied to. But I am wondering, since you take classes all the schools anyways, could i switch to Pomona, and still get my degree from McKenna. The thing is I want to play tennis, but am not quite good enough to make it on the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps team. However, I do think I could make the Pomona-Pitzer team.

(I know you can get a degree from one without actually enrolling in one. Say you go to Scripps, but change your major to math, you can stay @ Scripps but get a degree from Harvey Mudd)

Does this sound possible?

(I know it sounds ridiculous and crazy!!)

I believe what you are talking about is an off-campus major. I do believe it is possible (and is done). It is pretty rare though.
