^^^rpo: what was your first choice? and do you know you can drop the dual after you matriculate? You may as well keep it though since Newhouse requires a minor/dual major outside of Newhouse anyway.....

NM: just realized you meant that SU wasn't your first choice, not the major.....congrats!!

Does anyone know exactly when the application package should be arriving in the mail??? I've already gotten the e-mail, since the letter is dated March 6th I can't imagine it taking to much longer. Congrats on the aid eagles fan..

Rodney -- Wellesley, Pomona, and Northwestern are my top choices. If I don't get in to those I will be happily coming to Syracuse though : ) I didn't know you could drop it but I definitely want to keep the dual enrollment.

Arielle -- it depends on your major, but generally I would lean towards Rochester to be honest.

How are you guys receiving your fin aid packages? Is it in the acceptance email?

RPO, if you go to your myslice, then your financial aid package link, it's on there. Mine was only $22,000 :(, so SYR is still too expensive for me, haha.
Has anyone heard what merit scholarships they are receiving, or is that included in the financial aid package? And if you did receive merit, how did you find out?

I got a merit scholarship. It was on myslice as well under award letter. I also got another email, like a few minutes after my acceptance email, from the Syracuse financial aid people about it.

yeah. It means that my parents might not let me go. But this school that they want me to go to is going to be more. It's not in my state and out of state is three times the in state and all expenses would be more than Syracuse. I'm still figuring this out though. Hopefully I can convince my parents.
