Sorry, Neu2017, I must have missed your post. Yes, I did get my first and only choice, being Whitman. And as an update for my situation, I got a general email detailing the fact that I did actually get a Syracuse University Scholarship. However, because I have a Tuition Exchange award as well, I am “not eligible to receive the monetary value of the scholarship”. This is really too bad, because I was counting on that scholarship to be able to go… I’m going to call the office on Monday and see if I can work something out.

I got my hopes up all week just to receive no email…

I got accepted into the College of Arts & Sciences (first choice) with a 13.4k grant. Even with this & loans, I’ll still need to pay about 25k a year :frowning: Guess I won’t be attending, congrats to everyone !

Accepted, but not to first choice.
SAT: 2000
6 APs
3.75 UW
$6k scholarship

Won’t be attending in the Fall. Best of luck to all.

Accepted to CAS, first choice (should’ve applied dual program!!!)
not sure if attending or not, still waiting for others schools’ decisions
congrats & good luck you guys  :D

My daughter got accepted:
SAT 760 Math, 2250 total. Class rank 6/440. Civil Engineering & minor in Architecture.
$12K Founders Scholarship

Honors notification typically delayed. Our son is at SU. Got acceptance first, a week later scholarship, a few day later Honors Program notice. He’s in class of 2014, where they didn’t do the e-mail notifications.

So for all those accepted, look for more info from SU on Honors. Our son is enjoying SU and the Honors perks. He’s in CAS (Poly Sci) and iSchool for dual degrees.

Accepted to the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics

3.3-3.4ish uw
28 ACT (34 English, crappy science, don’t remember the rest)
400 hours of community serivce
good ec’s
no scholarship

meh, didn’t think my interview went that well, and honestly, i got scholarships/more aid from school’s that rank higher on my list, so i will not be attending.

congrats to all those who got in! and to those who haven’t heard yet, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not in  don’t lose hope.

Accepted from NY!

Accepted to Syracuse’s Newhouse with 8k scholarship!

3.5 unweighted; 4.2 weighted
2080 SAT, 30 ACT

Accepted to Whitman with $8K!
3.78/4.10
1990

Only applied to Whitman School but was accepted to Ischool? Does that make sense? Anyone know anything about the ISchool?

SU iSchool is one of the top IT schools in the US. SU is known for these top schools/programs -

 • Newhouse
 • Architecture
 • Maxwell Public Policy (Graduate only)
 • iSchool

iSchool was formed around 1974, becoming one of the nations first information technology schools in the country. They have a varied offering of programs, some of which are tied to other colleges, such as a dual offering with Whitman in business.

My son is in CAS Poly Sci, and dual major with iSchool. He’s working on tying together politics with database analysis of polictics (iSchool information database technology). Class of 2014.

My daughter is going for civil engineering/architecture. Just accepted to SU. Also RPI, with several pending - CMU, Princeton (defered EA), Lehigh. Time will tell.

Good luck!

I got accepted today around 1pm PST. I live in California and I got into LC Smith college as computer engineering major. Then about hour later, I got letter again for the scholarships. I got around $54,000 including all the grants and scholarships.

Accepted to LC Smtih for Computer science and engineering
GPA 3.2(unweighted) 3.9(weighted)
SAT 1820
mostly AP and Honor courses
good ECs
excellent Recs
