Still haven’t heard… 3.5, 1920 SAT and put Newhouse, Whitman, and arts and sciences all down as choices when I applied. I attend the best public school in NJ and had an interview with the dean of Newhouse.
Where are y’all getting financial aid info? Emails? I’m trying to log in to myslice but it is telling me my password is incorrect - I know it is the right one.
Still waiting to hear back as well, glad that some of you have heard. Kinda sucks since I applied back in November, but I’m optimistic! 29 ACT, 3.98 GPA, editor-in-chief of nationally-ranked newsmagazine, applied first choice to Newhouse. Fingers crossed!

Accepted to Newhouse! Was awarded Founder’s Scholarship as well. (3.92 GPA, 1950/2400, school yearbook editor, journalism internship, heavily involved in school Drama and Choir program)

You sound like my daughter @fallingup123, strong essay, recommendations and extracurriculars and a lot of honors/AP but she has never tested well. One of her friends got into Newhouse but the other two still have not heard. This is stressful.
@kellyann1205 Thank you so much!! I received both my admission email and scholarship email today around 3:00PM. The admission email was dated the 14th, yet it appeared in my inbox the same day as the scholarship email, which was dated March 20th.
Okay, thanks for answering @rav199 ! Do you guys think they’ll send out any more tonight? I kind of doubt it. Hoping the email comes soon though
When did everyone who heard back apply? Me & my friend both applied on Jan 1st (me at like 11pm lmao) and haven’t gotten decisions yet. I’m trying to come up with theories about why we haven’t heard back yet to comfort myself… Or could it really be that they’re saving all rejections for last? Fml. Do I still have hope??? I am so stressed out, I’ve had like 3 panic attacks in the past 5 hours.
At 7 pm (Eastern), I received an email telling me that my financial aid package could be viewed on My Slice. I checked right after I was accepted but it wasn’t posted then. They offered me an amazing financial aid package so it looks like I’ll probably be going to Syracuse!

@BostonMama Best of luck to your daughter! I don’t know if I’ll end up going to Syracuse but I strongly believe that we end up where we’re supposed to. This time can be super stressful but I hope everything goes well for everyone!

Does anyone know the impact of legacy on Syracuse admissions? I didn’t get notification from Syracuse yesterday. Both my parents are SU graduates, and I have a 3.0 gpa, good SAT’s, and good extra-curricular activities and sports. I’m told that Syracuse is one of the schools that heavily favors legacies but don’t know if my stats are strong enough for the legacy to push me over the edge. Thanks.
