I got waitlisted from Newhouse but i don’t know my decision from my other two choices.
So here are some questions I have that I think other waitlisters may share.
- Can you accept waitlist offers from multiple schools?
- If pulled off the waitlist, will the school still give out financial need?
I’m in a predicament because my top two schools both waitlisted me (still not sure why since my grades and stats were on point) and I have heavy financial need. Right now, i’m planning on going to my state school, but i’m just wondering what will happen in case by some miracle I am pulled off the waitlist.

@nhgirl292 Yes you can. People pulled of the waitlist typically have low to no financial need.
Same here @devilscharger21. Tbh i didn’t even know Newhouse had a wait list. I thought they just considered you for another school.

Waitlisted also! I have some questions as well, though.
If I get off the waitlist and get accepted, can I decline or is accepting the waitlist binding??
Can I convince them that I am worth accepting? (Like an appeal after my school’s award season comes or something)
@devilscharger21 After talking with someone else who applied, they specifically wanted us in Newhouse. Otherwise they would’ve accepted or wait listed us at our second/third choices. Unfortunately, I have no idea if the Newhouse wait list actually moves…

@nat97xo If i got wait listed from newhouse that mostly means I would get into my other choices. I would still go there if I didn’t get into Newhouse but into my other two choices.

@nat97xo I was waitlisted to newhouse but also I would still go to cuse if i was accepted to the business school.
Are you guys planning to wait out the waitlist? or are you just going to go somewhere else?
For the people who just heard back today, did you guys send in your application after the regular decision deadline because I don’t understand how I could be wait listed if Syracuse is a safety for me?
Also I’m confused about how financial aid works? Do we not know if we get any until June?
