<p>As I was reading stuff on these forums I realized that a handful of Cal applicants got an email to apply for the TAAP Scholarship. The problem is, I never got the email. Does this mean I didn't get in?</p>

<p>Yes, I never received an email. But it shouldn't reflect on our status since anyone can apply for the scholarship on the site.</p>
<p>yeah with so many applicants they forget to send it to ppl and sometimes som eapplicants dont qualify for them based on financial status, qualties etc</p>
<p>I got the taap scholarshiop too for achievement and the alumni email aswell ... i'm low income and i read they generally give it out to low income applicants.. but i dont know if i want to do it ...i mean i doubt it'll help my chances.. i want to get in but my sat scores are loooooooowwwwwwww.... my gpa is a 3.9 uc...so i dont think i'll get in..but yeah for some reason they sent it to me early in jan and today i just got another email saying that it's due in a couple of days and to apply ..so i got it twice, is that a good thing? grrrrrr...not liking the waiting game</p>

<p>i have gotten this email also. We received on 1/17 then naother one on 2/2 and now again. This time it had in bold</p>
<p>"You are receiving this message because we want you to apply for one of our two scholarship programs, whose application deadlines are less than a week away."
Can anyone enlighten us on this. Could this be a good sign or am I just hoping too much. We have been led to believe that we are such a long shot due to my D's sat math score of 590. cr was 710 and w-680. Her 3 strongest sat II's were 790,680 and 660. and she has a gpa of 4.33 and is an elc candidate for Los Angeles area.</p>
<p>i got the exact same thing...so i dont know..i hope it's a good sign...but ucb can be very random about admissions..i know la is so ... grrrr.... dont know but i also did cosmos... and it was there on the out reach program list..so i was thinking it maybe it had to do with that ... ..</p>
<p>at the bottom of those emails it says receiving that email is not an indicator of your admissions unfortunately ; /. And anyone can simply go to the website and apply for it.</p>
