Tacky names for my children

That’s a cool name - it’s like Tommaso Masaccio

I insist that he names his redheaded offspring Ginger.

^ All they need is a brunette Macie and blonde Dody.

I know three brothers and their names are: Herman, Sherman, and Therman.

I know twins with the names: Beau and Buzz

I know this guy and his middle name is: Zebulon

I’ve always thought Harvey was a rather lame name.
It’s probably just me though

I know someone named Snow White.
Man, her parents.

I know a couple who named their son Sunshine because he was the “ray of light in their lives”.

I guess he could be nicknamed “Sunny/Sonny” and avoid the humiliation. He’d just have to pray that his teachers don’t get sick and that the subs won’t read the list of legally correct names.

I’ve never understood parents who do stuff like that^. For example they could have named him ‘Samson’ or any of the other names that mean ‘sun’

They were frank folks.

I supposed they appreciated the more literal term. Although their son will definitely not appreciate their ill thought out decision. When they told me his name, I was rendered speechless for a few moments before finally choking out a painful smile.

Well, maybe he could be referred to by his middle name.

I am a teacher’s aide in a 1st grade ESL class. Foreign kids have awesome names.
One is Juna. And Salina. I just love those names.

Now, a tacky name that comes out of that (tacky in English terms- probably not in his native language) is KiLo. That kid is gonna get so made fun of.

^ That reminds me of Lilo and Stitch. That is infact bad. Even with the capital L?

^ Yeah… Lo might be his last name but it is always written as KiLo. He has recently told us though that his name is KiLo (something in Burmese that I am not even going to pretend to spell). Since Burma doesn’t use Latin letters, people kind of just have to guess at first and last names. I have REALLY interesting names in that class.

There’s a difference between “tacky” and foreign though.

^ I know. I said it would be tacky if it were a born-American child’s name.

Hence the quote

I have a friend named Kilo  hahaha I love her name! You have to pronounce it like this KEE-LO! She’s black…and we’re not close :b we have a class together and I she alwas says hey to me. She has plenty of friends and doesn’t get made fun of but I’m not sure If it was always like that.
