<p>Hey,</p>

<p>im applying this fall for transfer 09. does anybody know when TAG agreements with UCSD and UCI have to be signed. is it in the winter? Is this the same for TAP with UCLA?</p>

<p>Also when applying to competitive schools like UCB/LA/SD, does ethnic background and 1st generation college student matter? </p>

<p>I have indian & portuguese background btw.</p>

<p>Ethnic background doesn't matter as the UC's got rid of affirmative action with Prop 209.</p>

<p>As for tags each school is different but most start require tags to be filled out starting in Sep.</p>

<p>^ check which school and see when to sign up.</p>

<p>TAP= transfer alliance program. Its different its not guaranteed admission. Its priority admission and the choice of a second major if you meet the pre-reqs and such.</p>
