I’m a bit confused about the TAG requirements. These are the requirements for fall 2013 admission (I am currently a high school senior and have not applied yet): By the end of summer 2012, you need 30 units. But at the end of spring 2013, you need 60 units for FALL 2013 admission? So do I need 30 units or 60 units at community college to fulfill the TAG requirements? And does AP credit count towards these units?

You need 60 units to fulfill the TAG requirements. What they mean when they said 30 units by the end of summer is that you need 30 units before you TAG. Assuming you take 15 units in fall, that puts you at 45 units (30 units that you have by the end of summer plus the 15 units from fall semester), and then another 15 units in spring gets you at 60 units required to transfer.

Just to clarify what may be stumping you. You normally need 30 units completed before Fall to SIGN the TAG agreement. Then you will have to have the full 60 units by the end of the Spring (2013) prior to the Fall (2013) for which you intend to matriculate (enter). Your formal application and conditional acceptance will be based in advance on your completing the 60 units and anything else on your TAG agreement. Even if you get conditionally accepted, you can get rescinded if you don’t finish everything up by the end of Spring.

I’m guessing AP units that are on the Davis chart http://catalog.ucdavis.edu/PDF/CollegeBoardAdvancedPlacement.pdf might be usable for your TAG. This should be clearly spelled out in the original TAG agreement, and if it is not crystal clear, go over this either with the admissions office or the TAG advisor who visits your JC campus every couple of months. In either case, I would assume nothing unless it gets written into the TAG agreement.
