Take a "Solid" Chance on Me

taking advices?
lol
i'm a senior now and second quarter is nearly passing.
i just want people's biased opinion towards my chances to be accepcted to college park

So if we all said in you would breathe easier?

Here are the responses, in a recap...None of us are admission, we are all going on personal experience through seeing what has been historically posted for acceptance on the thread and personal experience...none of this will fit into you perfect package.

I don't want to discourage you, but I'm going to be realistic. If you're in the top 45% chance and an Asian American, I do not have strong feelings that you will be accepted. The reason I say this is because Maryland is a large public school that has quotas to filled, quotas for in state students and minorities as well. Usually students from the top 10% and below are accepted, there are a few exception to the rule, but mainly it holds true. Unless you have a very heart touching story that can explain extenuating circumstances for your low rank, then I'd say look elsewhere like Towson, UMBC, and other instates

i agree with bruin. i'd have to say at least 25%-30%. you STILL have a chance. a slim one though

State schools are pretty stat oriented; you don't have great stats. The rank is.. not good. Pretty low chance D:

ok i dont mean to hate on the school or anything (i actually just looked it up, and its better than I had previously thought) but in terms of admission to college, that could actually hurt you if you don't take advantage of all of the opportunities etc

^ i agree. river hill is a pretty good school and i heard it offers a lot of AP's. but that it's offering many AP's could hurt you, since you've taken only 5 AP's, including this senior year

And obviously me many times...in the end you don't want opinions, you want somebody to say you are in. I really hope for you that you get in...NOBODY has read your essay and that could be a reason Admissions says yes. Nobody sits on the sdmission board on this site. You are frightened, we get it, but out of all the responses everybody has given you basically the same answer...REACH IF AT BEST...

Be Honest you haven't googled UMDCP acceptance stats. If you haven't I will be more than happy to send the link, but to be honest you don't want to see it

what is your intended major?
if you are applying to engineering, you are def not in. CP is quite competitive these days, and your chance don't look so great. you applied dec 1st. thats good but remember that the application pool is mostly likely to increase this year.

so i would say 70% no 30% yes

Ok, good for you you cocky little prick; I have an answer for ya...definitely not...happy?

.............Boss
