Take classes at a community college

I am a freshman at CSULB, I am planning on going to Cypress CC full time this summer. Is it allowed? I just want to go to Cypress because it's closer to home and I can car pool with my friends and boyfriend, to save money. Do I have to ask my counsellor?

Yes, it’s best to ask so that you can see which classes will transfer and which classes won’t transfer. I’m doing that too this winter, but for me, I can only take two classes because all the rest of my classes are junior level classes.

I don’t see it being a problem, but would be a good idea to check with you department advisor - considering you’ve chosen a specific major. Also you can check the assist website to see which courses offered at Cyprus are transferable.
