Got a situation here. I took SAT I in April and scored 1950. I know, i sucks. So i want to retake it. But the thing is - i've never taken an SAT II, and afaik colleges require at least 2 of those. I would've taken 2 or 3 on May 6th, but my parents wanted me to focus on AP tests (which didnt really help anyway). So i basically have only June SAT date left, if a want to apply to colleges early (october won't work cuz i will not get results in time). So my question is: should i take some SAT IIs or retake the reasoning?
PS Is it actually possible to take both SAT I and a couple of IIs on the same date? Cuz that would work out perfectly.

No, you can only do SAT I or IIs on a given day, but i know a lot of people who apply early who take tests in october. One kid did poorly on his SATs the first time and retook them in october and got into penn.

There are a lot who would be very happy with your SAT score. Taking SAT II's depends on college to which you intend to apply since vast majority do not require them at all, although most of the very high ranked colleges do. You are incorrect to think taking the tests in October means they will not be considered for Early Decision or Early Admission. You should check the particular rules with particular college but generally those that have a November 1 application deadline for ED or EA, take the October test scores for that even if the test scores arrive after November 1. You should also not undervalue your AP scores if you have good ones to send to top colleges. They do consider them and there are some recent studies that colleges are aware of indicating that scoring 4's and 5's on AP tests is a better indicator of potential success in college than the SAT.

If you're planning to take your SAT IIs in subjects that you're studying this year but will not study next year (like chemistry or U.S. history), take them in June and let the SAT I wait. You know more chemistry or history now than you will in the fall.

you can take october sat i/iis and still make it for most (usually all, i would think esp if you rush scores) early decision deadlines... because that's what i'm going to do if i miserably failed my sat iis, lol. if it's november 1st - 15th, then yeah it's workable. :)

I agree with what the people said above. Colleges won't mind if your SAT scores are a little past the deadline. Once you decide where you want to apply for ED/EA, call the admissions office of the college and ask them about this.
