<p>Hi there. This is my first post so hopefully I've put this in the right category and what not. </p>
<p>I'm currently a freshman at a CC and am thinking of transferring to a UC. I was really lost for a while and am behind on the IGETC. I need 18 units. </p>
<p>I've been thinking that maybe I should take an extra year to complete these courses. Should I do this or try to apply this fall without the IGETC completed?</p>
<p>What are you majoring in and where do you wish to transfer to? Completion of IGETC isn’t required at all.</p>
<p>I’m a studio arts major wanting to transfer to UCSB or UCSC.</p>
<p>IGETC is not required though it is very helpful to you and looks great for admissions because if you don’t take them now you’ll still need them at UCSB and chances are they’re harder at UCSB.</p>
<p>You should fill out a TAG in September</p>
