Would it look bad to take anatomy and physiology (college class) instead of taking chemistry? I'm doing dual-enrollment next year and at the college i'm taking classes at, the anatomy classes are really good. And for all the public universities in my state only require that you take one lab science (biology, chemistry, physics) and i've already taken biology. And plus I want to major in psychology with a concentration in industrial/organization psychology, so I don't really need chemistry anyway.

Should I?

Well, are you planning to go to a public university in your state?
For selective schools, you really should take chemistry. The “recommendations” are basically requirements too.

“And plus I want to major in psychology with a concentration in industrial/organization psychology, so I don’t really need chemistry anyway.”

You’re still in high school and don’t really know what your major will be in the first place, and in any case just because a class isn’t required for a major doesn’t mean you it wouldn’t benefit you. Biology can be better understood with some chemistry.

I don’t want to apply to to a selective school.

I want to go to a school in my state, which is why I mentioned that…

I still think you should take chemistry…it’s one of the fundamental science classes you should take at least one year of and I’m surprised your school doesn’t require it to graduate.

pshht, my school doesn’t even require biology to graduate.

i hate my school.
