Taking Ap exams as a college freshmen

Hi ppl. I would like to know if one can take AP exams as a college freshmen (say, because one didnt do too well and wanted to pass it the next time around) and MOST IMPORTANTLY, what are the chances that the colleges would still accept the AP results if you end up getting a well-qualified grade when you are no longer attending high school? BTW, has anyone done that before or know anyone that had taken Ap exams after his/her high school career? Please answer. Thanks a lot.

Colleges generally do not take AP tests taken in freshman year of college. However, many colleges have their own tests that one can take to pass out of some freshman classes.

You could definitely take the exam, but I agree w/ drusba - your college probably won't give you credit if you've already done your freshman year there. Check with your college, and also ask about internal exams.
