Taking both Math Level 1 and 2

I wilk take Spanish and Math level 2 definetely. I don't know which other one to take... should I take Math level 1.. you to take three the same day?

the math level one was SOOOO easy., no joke. BUT i left two blank and got a 770, that means everything was rite except for the two blank. the curve blows. as for math level 2, its not so easy, but its got an insane curve of like 8 wrong is still 800... :-/

dont take math level 1 and 2 schools only look at one of them (the better one)

I already registered for both.. should I cancel one?

Just take the math2.

yeah just take the math II...take another one instead of Math I or just cancel.

You should only take one of the math subject tests, but which ones depends on the level of math you are currently in, and which schools you will be applying to. Start by taking practice tests for both, and confirming that the schools you are interested in accept both tests. The UC system, for example, only accepts level II.

Im in IB Math higer level... we are seeing integral calcucus... so I think I'm prepared for Math level 2... Im GONNA apply to wharton Ed.

shyt.. i plan on applying to colleges like Columbia University, should i take the MATH IIC??? I originally took the math IC thinking IIC would be too hard. Math is my BEST subject, so i would prolly take IIC eventually, but i wasnt gonna if i didnt have to. I got 770 on the IC. should i still go for the IIC. Is columbia gonna wanna see that?

Math IIC is easier cause you can't miss anything on IC. IIC is ridicoulously easy when using a TI-89 as your calculator. I let the calculator do 3/4 of the problems and got an 800. If you can use the TI-89, it is your best friend for standardized math testing.

and if u cant use the TI-89? lets say... the TI 83 plus?
and again. do colleges wanna see math IIC over IC?

<quote>do colleges wanna see math IIC over IC?<'quote></quote>

yes.

TI 83 works fine for Level 2

I love Ti89...

I have one but i cant use it in my class.. I can only use the ti84

I would recommend everyone to buy the ti89....

eventually you'll need it for college... It's really helpfull on the IIC

As to the Columbia question above, it requires 2 SAT II's, accepts either of the math SAT II's and does not look askance upon you for submitting the Math IC. Also, it is incorrect that colleges that take either will hold anything against you for submitting the IC rather than the IIC. There are some, like the UC's, that will not accept the IC and some which recommend the IIC for their engineering programs.

Columbia, like most that require II's, require them to be in different subject matters and thus if you submit the Math IC and IIC, it will count only one of those towards the two required. For the original poster, if you intend to apply to any college that requires three rather than two SAT II's, then you should not choose to take both math SAT II's as only one will count toward the three required.

i took IC already and got 770, 99th percentile it said... so im fine with that, i already took Bio-M 740, now im taking chem in june and im dun. thanx guys, im sure columbia will mostly look at the SAT I grades, which i get back May 31st or sum postponed date!!!... damn them for screwing up
