Taking Regents Over?

For Non New Yorkers: The Regents is an end of the year test we have to take based on the curriculum over the year. Most of the classes prep us for getting a mastery grade on that.

In the past I've taken:
Geometry - 76
Italian Proficiency - 99
Earth Science - 86
Algebra - 84
Living Environment - 93

I'm not a strong math/science student. The science tests I got mastery because the curriculum wasn't too difficult, but is it worth it to take the Geometry/Algebra ones over? especially since I'm in Algebra 2 now. Thanks

Yes I’d retake it if I were you, as 90+ looks good and 85+ is required for Advanced Regents Diploma

Advanced regents diplomas are if you have an average of 90+ on all of your regents, not an 85+ on each.

Actually the difference between an Advanced Regents Diploma and a regular Regents Diploma has nothing to do with your scores. To receive an advanced diploma you just need to take (and pass with at least a 65) more of the exams. You have to take an additional 2 math regents, an extra science regents, and a foreign language regents on top of what you need for to receive a regular regents diploma.

To earn an honors designation though, you need to get a 90+ on all regents exams.
