Taking SAT FOUR TIMES? Too much??

FYI: I have already sent it my first three SAT scores so I can't do score choice.
I'm just wondering if taking the SAT in January for the last time is one too many. I think this would help because my score is currently 2000. I think that I have time to study over the Christmas break and more time in January because I don't really have to worry about second semester senior year.
When I prepped for four days, my scores increased 70 points, so imagine how much I could potentially increase if I prep for three weeks.
Current SAT score: (super score) 2000
I got deferred from WashU in St. Louis and I want to send my January SAT scores to Vassar, Wesleyan, Claremont McKenna College, and Boston College.
I have asked my counselor and she told me that taking it too many times shows the colleges that i'm too grade/score focused.

Please reply ASAP since I have to sign up in 2 days!

I took it 5 times. But the fifth time was just for bright futures scholarship.

YES, retake it if you think your score will improve.

This is mostly a myth, and poor advice. If your score ends up being 2100+ there’s no reason a school is going to look down on it. If schools wanted you to take it a certain number of times they would say so on their website.

Don’t worry about the bright futures scholarship if you don’t live in florida

^^^Pretty satisfactory! Sorry for being overly zealous.

^To whom are you apologizing? What is satisfactory?

To get back to the question that was originally asked. I think by your third attempt you have achieved about the best score you are capable of getting and the chances of doing significantly better on a fourth attempt are minimal. A score of 2000 is pretty good and while it might not get you into Harvard, it will be impressive to many fine colleges and universities.

Please try to remain civil!

Take it if you think your score will improve; if not, then don’t.

I agree that you should take it if you improve alot but i disagree with crazybandit on the issue that colleges don’t care. If a person can get a 2400 on one sitting compared to someone that gets a 2400 through 4-5 sittings, it clearly shows that one applicant clearly has more potential than the other…

Why does it even matter? What if I choose to only send the final and best scores?
