Taking sat four times?

Is it disadvantageous for me to take the sat four times?

honestly, probably not. however, you shouldn’t take it again after your fourth time.

If you studied hard for the first three exams and if your scores have stayed about the same then I wouldn’t spend more time taking the SAT a fourth time. You should be able to find better uses of your time.

If you do another standardized test consider studying for and taking the ACT as some people do better on that exam.

The only reason it could matter is if the colleges you are applying to require all scores to be sent. Check to see whether your schools allow Score Choice.

Take it again only if practice tests show you have improved.

Agree with everything here. There is that one crazy story “google it” guy took the ACT 8 times. Went from a low 20 to a 34 and got into his dream school.

This was with massive study 100’s of hours.

If you are doing something different with your studies each time and your scores are increasing, then yes.
If you study the same way and your scores don’t increase, then no.
