Taking the SAT next Saturday, How to get a 600+ on CR and skipping questions?

Hi!

I'm new to the forum, so I am sorry if I'm doing anything wrong.

On the subject of SATs, I want to improve my Critical Reading score to a 600+. The college I want to go to has automatic acceptation with a 600 CR score and a 600 Math score. I find the Math section relatively easy so on pretests and practices, I get around a 650, so I am OK with that. However, I don't do that well on the Critical reading section. I got a 49 on my PSAT, and I want to boost my score up 600+. I have the blue book, and I intend on reviewing the practice problems, but other than that, what is the best way for me to prepare for the Critical Reading section? Also, how many questions can I skip without affecting my raw score?

Take as an example the SAT 2012-2013 practice test. This test has 67 CR questions.

Look at the grading guide on:

A skipped question has no negative impact on the raw score
An incorrect answer has a 1/4 point negative impact on the raw score

On this exam a raw score of 45 results in a CR 600 score:

Some of the ways you would get a 600 are:
(1) 45 right + 22 skip
(2) 47 right + 8 wrong + 12 skip
(3) 49 right + 16 wrong + 2 skip

Thank you so much! I will be studying my butt off for this!
