Tape for Hanging Things on Dorm Walls?

I was just wondering if there are any rules or anything about what kind of tape we can use to hang posters/pics/etc on the walls in our dorm? [I'm in Brittany, if its different for different dorms].
Thanks!

to be on the safe side, i think you should use poster putty. this way, there will be no possible chance of damaging the walls, and being charged

I was going to ask this as well! Thanks.

aha, poster putty, didn't think of that. thanks!

poster putty or if the poster is too heavy you can use some of 3M products to hang things like flags

how about a framed poster? are we allowed to hang things with nails?

i hung things with nails in hayden and chunks of plaster came out of the wall. but you can easily cover it up with plaster at the end of the year when you move out.

i wouldn't do nails personally( not a plaster person). again i would go with 3M hooks. with enough of the them the weight will be distributed pretty evenly.

I used a product called DormTape. Works great and comes off clean.

Command strips!

Elmer’s white glue

I heard that painter’s tape works well; it won’t damage the walls.
