lol, billy_liar! but i'm sure they do. i mean, how can you not, if it's subconscious?

So we've had snow days all week this week and I just found out that we have yet another snow day tomorrow. Now, I'm actually hoping for school on Friday because I want to pick up my rec. and transcript (supposed to pick them up earlier this week on Tuesday!) and mail everything in this weekend. Normally I love snow, lol.

Hey guys,

For your book list, around how many of them were school read books for you?
I'm afraid most of mine are school read =[

guguru - I know some schools have their students do a lot of reading and others just do one or two books a year. If your school is one of the former types, then I doubt you're in trouble. Besides, the number of books on booklists seems to span a wide range. I don't think Telluride will throw your application out for not having read hours and hours outside of school.
at this point, don't worry! concentrate on polishing up those essays.

am i the only one researching the names of factota of certain programs (old blog posts, articles, etc.)? im looking for anything that might sway me in favor of Cornell I or Austin, lol. oh and btw i think ive found it. or have i gone overboard?

I don't think the factota are the ones who read the essays... are they?

haha thanx inkspill, oh are you guys writing down the authors, or just the books. Would it be better to separate fiction from non-fiction?

oh i was just thinking who would be the coolest factota to have lol.

guguru - some are writing authors and some arnt. i dont think it matters all that much. and separating fiction and non-fiction sounds completely unneccessary to me, do what you like though.

they're not. not necessarily, anyways, and they're definitely not the ones who will be reading the essays initially.

Factotas change.

Great I just had a little 4 hour power nap.

All I have to do is make it through World History and Japanese tomorrow and then I will be free.

?I was wondering are we all gonna go stir crazy once we turn our essays in and post just as much between next week and march? Or are we going to disappear. If its the latter, I don't know what is going to happen, I feel like this group is akwardly a part of me. C C my antidrug. Hmmm

lol, lobster. I predict posting will escalate to madness between now and the 26th. After that, I think it will continue for a day or two, then drop down and plateau for a month or so. Then, 2 weeks before interview yays or nays come out, posting will reach an all time high. heh, I've thought this through wayyyyy too much.

I agree with inkspill :)

Except I expect the night of the 26th...only those who mailed/TASS people will be posting....

I actually finished my chem problem set. Like the entire thing. Amazing.

The factota are awesome this year... :D

Are you that "in" Chaotic. How do you know them....Thats really cool though if you are still on good terms with the TA and stuff, shows a lot about the program.

maybe chaotic is one of the factota gasp

:]

[jk]

Ahhh take out my name! spazzes out lol :]

and i made a comment about you two pages back or so, while you were taking your power nappp

one of which i took btw, but only for 20 min =[

in hs, sleep is a blessinnggg
im trying to tell my siblings to sleep as much as they can

but NOO instead they play yugi-yoh or w/e it is all night long -.-

YUGIOH

GOSH get it right. LOL I used to be one of those losers who played yugioh at lunch...sad that I was.

LOL maybe I can write my personal conflict essay on that.

"To play and look like a loser, but do what I really want, or not to play and actually have a life in school, but be unhappy."

I already asked this, but is anyone else sending their rec and transcripts separately?

Director:
If your doing online that is fine. Just give your school/councler adress and money for postage and it should get sent out. Or ask them to give it to you and then you will do mail them. In the scheme of things that isn't all that big of a deal. your school will make sure it gets there. :-)

Jenn(Peren) is a yugioh master. !?!?!?! Woah. Thanks for not playing its really scarry at our school there is the game and cube enclave. Its scary. Also our school is home to about 4 of the top 25 young rubixs cube champions, and this one kid got a saturday school during out final for playing under the desk. Like he does it with out looking and he clames it makes him concentrate. :-/

OMG rubix cubing.

I fell in love with it after my lit teacher did over winter break. Haha and now my friend and I are going to start a rubix cubing club. Except my mom confiscated my cube because I was playing too much :P and won't return it until I'm "less busy" (which obviously is never going to happen).

Anyway, I plan on buying a new one on Saturday January 27 after my SAT's. I wanted to buy one last weekend but then remembered that TASP existed.

I'm pretty slow right now, but I plan on getting super fast after I buy my new one. (My record = like 1 minute 30 :/)
