Tasp 2007

Thanks giant red...lobster :)

Tako. :-P

Yea this kid can do it in 14 seconds (blind folded mind you.)

Its hXc. XD

At one of our rallies there was a cube off, it was intense. <--Thats how great our rallies are. Ever since 2 years ago there was some sexual innuendo in the form of humping a large teddy bear and a girl jumping in a skirt revealing that she was wearing a pink thong that day we have come to Rubik cubes. XD

ugh. i hate all of my essays right now. and i'm not even done, which means i have to lay off the editing to complete the rest. by tomorrow. i keep hoping a heavy wind warning will mean we all get to stay home from school tomorrow and i can work on my essays all day, as much as that will mess up the schedule for finals week. i have to go write now. good luck, everybody.

Lindeek - don't be disheartened! I think lots of people are feeling like their essays don't measure up right now (myself included). You still have a whole weekend before the mail-in deadline and a little over a week if you're doing the online application, so never fear! Time is on your side, and a few days of intense work can do wonders.

I know this question has already been asked and answered more than once, so sorry for asking. But when applying on paper, we are instructed to number the pages of our essays. Does that mean have them all in one big document with numbers from 1 to 10 or whatever, or to number each essay starting with page 1?

number the essays individually.

K, thanks.

Also, it says to "place the originals of your essays... inside the application folder." Does that mean not attach anything together? Or should I paperclip together each essay, or the whole pack of essays, or what?

paperclip together a pack of essays

Haha, I can assure you that I am not supervising any of the TASP sessions. I know the factota from Cornell II and WashU because they were our program assistants during Cornell TASP 2006 (they're house members of the Cornell Telluride Branch). And the Cornell I factota visited over the summer to talk about his alma mater, Deep Springs College.

Yeah, high school seniors are not allowed to be factota, heh.

A Deep Springer (current Harvard Crimson) is factoting as well. Which you means you can surely expect a bunch of awkwardness.

there's actually an article with rosenblum in it.

here's his picture

Ahhhh I found out TODAY that my teacher had completely forgotten about my rec until I reminded her today!! SUPER!! Not.

Thatts pretty chill chaotic. <--How your tight with a bunch of those guys.

Wang. How was your visit to deepsprings? And why would it be wierd for rosenblum to be there?

Lol last Q. What exactly is a Factota, like i understand the concept but im still pretty confused as to what they do.

like an RA, but cooler.

???? .

RA = resident assistant (or something to that extent)

I believe, for this program, they're the older "adult" who will be living in the houses with the students...you know, supervising. What kind of program would let a bunch of 17 year olds live by themselves!? I believe they're all past members (not sure?) and will be attending the seminars with the kids.

There's probably more. Correct me if I'm wrong please!

may I do my literary analysis on my own poem

mmmmm that would probably defeat the point, because you KNOW what the author was thinking/implying/etc.

lol, yeah, residential advisor. they "walk around at 4am in the morning and remind you that you should probably go to bed."

factota = latin for "one who does everything"

and uhhh... i don't think so (to acturialdj)
