TASP 2018

@palinoia same, maybe that’s got something to do with it

@curiositea so, do you think they’ll send it out to us an hour later since we’re on CST or wait until tomorrow?

Hey guys, previous lurker here, but I didn’t receive an email either (I’m EST). As I was writing this message, I got another email in my inbox and I was SOOOO excited but it was just spam…

@palinoia no idea honestly… I’ve got two more tests today so I’m going to try not to think about it since there’s no decision anyways, but I’m probably still going to be checking my email every chance I get haha

Check promotions or spam

I’m on PST and it came a while ago.

I’ve checked my spam filter and any other box on that email account to make sure it wasn’t hiding anywhere… nada. Anyone who’s perhaps done TASP before know what it might mean not to have an email yet?

Good luck guys. I was rejected. This year’s number of applicants was crazy. If anyone who got an interview could possibly PM me their essays, I would infinitely appreciate it. I just want to see the caliber of essays that they accepted, won’t share it with others or anything—it would help a lot.

I was also rejected… D: same as @Outsider1, I would love to read essays from those who are accepted. I want to know what I was missing from my application!

CST decisions are out! Finalist!

Update! So I got the email finally and I’m a finalist! I’m so happy for those who got an interview and if you didn’t, like someone else already said, the process of completing the essays was in and of itself something to be proud of.

does anyone know how many ppl applied this year?

@breadpitt6 on the email it said around 1500

So grateful to be accepted as well! For those accepted, what kind of school essay are you thinking of submitting?

Rejected…which really sucks because I genuinely thought I could be at least a finalist. I also would be interested to read the accepted essays if someone would be so kind to send it my way :).

Finalist! @ruth2019 I am thinking I will do an in-class essay from my AP Lang class, but I am not too sure. I want to do some of my articles from the school newspaper but I don’t know if that counts.

I made it to the finalist stage! It’s been a very pleasant surprise, I must admit. Congrats to everyone else moving on to interviews, and to everyone who’s not, I really agree with a lot of others in this thread: even completing the application and doing all the deep thinking that it requires is hard work. You should be proud of yourselves. :))

Also, @ruth2019 I honestly have no idea! My AP Lang teacher is out on maternity leave and she has our blue books with our in-class essays with her. Also, I guess I didn’t think things through because I was going to ask her to be my recommender, but she’s going to be out with her newborn until mid-April. I mean congrats to her, but I’m a little frustrated that I didn’t think of that before she left. Ah well, I’m sure that I’ll figure something out.

Does anyone know the number of people that were selected as finalists?

56 exactly.

@THEGAMER10293847 Wow. Did it say that in the email??
