Tattoos?

I'm just wondering if any high schoolers on CC have tattoos.

I'm thinking about getting one. Not a tramp stamp though. I dunno... something small, probably in a place that isn't usually visible.... who knows. lol

Part of me is like, "No, don't get one. You'll get old and things will sag and look gross." lol... I hear the laser removal is getting better though. But both getting a tattoo and removing it are painful. I don't like pain all that much.

I heard its not very painful unless u get it done in a place where theres not much fat, elbows, knuckles, etc.

i think i might just get my name tatooed in arabic on my forearm

im thinking of getting one on the inside of my lip because it fades.
you can flip your lip down and it says something.. it sounds weird right now if you dont know what I'm talking about

Tats are incredibly lame (unless they hold significant meaning--deceased relative, pet, friend, etc.)

I definitely wouldn't get one that didn't mean anything. That would just be a waste.

I've seen the lip tat before. It was kinda weird. Apparently it hurt a lot too.

One of my guy friends has one on his ribs... Can you say PAINFUL. lol

Funny to think about what might be meaningful you to you as a 17 year old and how you might feel about it when you are 37. :Thanks for the entertainment, and enjoy your artwork. It'll be with you for a long time!

I'm planning on getting a tattoo of my dogs eventually. Maybe on my calf/ankle/foot area. Not for a while though. Maybe it'll be something I do after college.

Blehhh. Tattoos work for some people... but I would hate having one. I would feel trashy. And, I can't think of anything that I would still want tattooed on me twenty years from now! I think that my "tat" would just be a source of embarrassment =P

i wanna be a doctor, nd i'm afraid that having a tattoo would seem unprofessional, although it would probably just my name

As long as it's covered by short sleeves, you're fine.

Like the DoC tattoo from scrubs...does anyone else watch scrubs?

I might get a few very small stars above my shoulderblade. They'll probably be one each of purple, turquoise, kelly green, and magenta-pink. Some quarter-sized, some a little bigger. They'll be arranged kind of like this.

I'm afraid of making major decisions like that...
I'd change my mind about what I want the next day.

arms might look cool now, but it'll be hard when you get older if you're working professionally or something

My chem teacher (THE coolest teacher ever), has one. It's actually really cool its like a band around his wrist. It's just a design, I think there might be something written within it, but idk. It isn't ostentatious or anything, it's pretty subtle.
It's really funny though because he doesn't like to show it off when he's around us, but he always forgets and rolls up his sleeves or something.
My friend asked him when he got it and he was like "When I was young and stupid," but he's only like 28 or something, lol.

Haha I was watching Saturday Night Live A while back and they have these fake commercials. Well this one was for a home tatoo remover kit or something. Anyways they were showing an example of what might happen to your tatoo when you get older and they showed this young girl in a belly shirt with a tatoo on her lower back that said "sexy", and then they showed her age and her back got all saggy and wrinkly and made it so the tatoo said "sad".

Why to parents patrol the "High School Life" section and say condescending things? Anywho... I'm 18, and I don't have one yet. I said I'd like to get one EVENTUALLY. Can't parents read? Apparently not.

Sorry.... Just had to rant about that. lol

BrownEyedGirl_76, that is exactly what I don't want to happen. lol... It'd be so gross. Anyone know of a location on your body that doesn't sag with age?

Hmmm I'm trying to think of one but can't... Maybe you could Botox the part of your body that you want the tatoo! haha.

I'm trying to convince my parents to let me get one of an eagle on my chest (I'm an eagle scout so it does mean something to me and I will value the accomplishment for the rest of my life)

Uhh, aren't the badges enough? lol.
