TCB's Blue Book Test Curve

I understand that the curve in the blue book is too broad for an accurate measure, so I've been told to look at the released March '05 test curve.
Can I still rely on the test curve for the March test?
2 wrong = 800
approximately 7 wrong = 700 (roughly)
approximately 12 wrong = 650 (roughly)

I'm just wondering how accurate this is for other SAT tests (May and June) and whether I can rely on a similar curve for future tests (October and maybe November). Thanks

Bump...I'm interested in this too. I know the curve varies from test to test but since the SAT has to be standardized, shouldn't the curve roughly be the same for each test? When compared to the curves in the blue book, I think the March one is much better to use (even if it is slightly off) since the ones in the blue book are so broad.

That 2 wrong = 800 is only for the CR section. I believe that is the usual CR curve, at least at the high end of the spectrum. I know a kid who left 1 blank and got 1 wrong, and he got 800 on CR in May.
The Math curve is usually a bit tougher than that. Rarely can one get a question wrong and still score an 800.

what about writing, anyone?

Ahh.. sorry to not specify earlier, but I was referring to the CR section. I can't really trust the blue book's test curves, and I'm trying my best to get a 650 or higher on the CR section. I average around 12 to 13 wrong on the CR section, does that sound like it's in the range of 650? How few will I need to get wrong to hit the 700 mark? Thanks

if you look at the scoring guide for the 2004-05 practice test (new SAT)from college board, you can get 6 wrong to get a 700 and 11-12 wrong to get 650. so yeah, i think it's roughly 11-12 wrong to get 650

I got 11 wrong in cr on the june sat and I received a 630. :-(

wisywigi,

Were you practicing from tests in the blue book beforehand? If so, what were you scoring roughly?

Well, I took the PSAT in October (Received a 65...can you believe my score actually went down???) and I had done cr sections in some of the blue book's tests where I scored roughly around 660...Recently, I signed up for cb's online course and I've done the original pre-test and the March test and on both of them, I received a 660 in cr. Basically, I've been pretty consistent, so I guess the June's curve for cr was pretty harsh.
